Secure Shopping and Payments
How Sofitrek protects checkout, payment, account, and order information, plus practical steps for avoiding fraud and reporting security concerns.
Sofitrek protects shopping, accounts, payments, and orders in several ways: secure technology, collecting only the data we need, access controls, monitoring, and extra checks when an order looks unusual. No online system can promise perfect security.
Secure connection
Sofitrek pages and checkout use HTTPS. A secure connection protects information in transit between your browser and the website. Before entering account or payment information, confirm that the browser address begins with the official Sofitrek domain and does not show a certificate warning.
Do not proceed through a link that uses a misspelled domain, asks you to disable browser security, or redirects you to an unfamiliar payment page.
Payment processing
Card details at checkout are entered through Stripe's checkout technology. Sofitrek does not ask customers to type a full card number or card security code into a Sofitrek support form, email, chat message, RFQ, or ordinary account field.
Stripe may provide Sofitrek with limited payment information needed to manage the transaction, such as a payment status, processor reference, card brand, last four digits, fraud or risk result, refund status, and dispute information. Sofitrek does not store the full card number or card security code.
Available payment methods, currency, billing requirements, and any processor authentication step are shown during checkout. A successful authorization or payment receipt does not by itself mean the order has been accepted for fulfillment. See the Shipping Policy.
Prices and charges
Review the cart and checkout summary before paying. The accepted order record should identify the merchandise, quantity, price, discount, tax when collected, shipping charge, currency, and total.
Sofitrek will not add an undisclosed product or shipping charge after checkout. A buyer may separately approve a changed order, additional service, or new quotation in writing. Temporary authorizations, duplicate pending entries, currency conversion, and issuer fees can sometimes appear at the bank level; contact us with the order reference if a charge appears incorrect.
Order and fraud review
Sofitrek may place an order on hold or request additional information when reasonably necessary to review:
- inconsistent billing, shipping, identity, or account information;
- unusually large or repeated transactions;
- suspected account takeover or unauthorized payment;
- payment-processor alerts;
- freight-forwarder or diversion risk;
- export, sanctions, end-user, end-use, or destination concerns;
- another material security or compliance issue.
A review is not an accusation. It is a temporary control designed to protect customers, Sofitrek, payment providers, and the supply chain. Sofitrek may decline or cancel a transaction when the concern cannot be resolved.
Account security
Customers are responsible for keeping account credentials and email access secure. Use a unique password, protect any passkey or recovery method, and sign out on shared devices.
Notify Sofitrek promptly if you believe an account, order, address, or payment was used without permission. We may suspend access, invalidate sessions, require verification, or preserve relevant records while the issue is reviewed.
Sofitrek will never ask for your password, full card number, or card security code by email or through the contact form.
Official communications
Genuine order and account messages come from the official Sofitrek domain or appear in your account after you sign in. Be cautious of a message that:
- changes payment instructions unexpectedly;
- requests a wire transfer to a personal or unrelated account;
- pressures you to bypass checkout or export review;
- asks for a password, one-time code, full card number, or security code;
- includes an attachment or login link you were not expecting;
- claims an urgent problem but cannot identify the order through ordinary support channels.
Verify any unusual request by opening Sofitrek directly in a new browser tab and contacting us through the Contact and Help Center, not by replying to the suspicious message.
Privacy
Sofitrek collects and retains information needed for accounts, quotes, orders, payment records, shipping, support, fraud prevention, legal compliance, and security. We aim to avoid collecting sensitive information that is not needed for the transaction.
Details are provided in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice.
Security reports
To report a suspected vulnerability, phishing message, exposed credential, account-security problem, or fraudulent use of Sofitrek's name, contact info@sofitrek.com with the subject "Security Report."
Include the affected URL, date and time, a concise description, and safe reproduction steps. Do not access another person's data, disrupt the service, run destructive tests, upload malware, or publicly disclose a vulnerability before Sofitrek has a reasonable opportunity to investigate.
We aim to acknowledge legitimate reports promptly. Most requests are answered within one business day. A report does not create a bug-bounty or payment obligation unless Sofitrek has separately published written program terms.
Your part in staying secure
Security measures reduce risk but cannot remove every threat. Keep your own devices, network, email, and payment methods secure, and contact your bank or card issuer promptly if you suspect card or bank fraud.
For an order or payment question, use the Contact and Help Center and provide the Sofitrek order reference. Do not include full payment-card data.
