About Sofitrek
An independent supplier of in-stock, surplus, obsolete, and hard-to-find electronic and industrial components.
Sofitrek is an independent electronic and industrial components supplier based in Mission Viejo, California. We serve businesses, engineers, maintenance teams, repair professionals, educators, and individual buyers looking for current-production, surplus, vintage, obsolete, or otherwise hard-to-find parts.
Our catalog may include semiconductors, passive components, electromechanical devices, power products, connectors, industrial controls, modules, and related equipment. Availability changes as limited inventory is sold and new lots are added.
An engineering perspective
Sofitrek grew from hands-on work with electronics, embedded systems, repair, and component research. That background shapes how we organize the catalog and respond to questions. Part numbers, package details, electrical ratings, quantity, condition, date codes, and documentation can materially affect whether a component is suitable, so we encourage buyers to identify critical requirements before placing an order.
Sourcing and product condition
The parts you can buy directly on this site are inventory owned by Sofitrek, including commercial surplus, excess, overstock, obsolete, discontinued, and hard-to-find electronic and industrial components. Inventory can vary by lot, age, packaging, storage history, date code, and available documentation.
We describe products using the information available for the specific stock. When known, the product page or quote may identify condition, packaging, quantity, date code, lot code, country of origin, and available traceability or testing information.
Unless a product page, quote, or other written order record expressly states otherwise, do not assume that an item has received electrical, functional, destructive, or laboratory testing, or that manufacturer traceability, original packaging, certification, or a manufacturer warranty is available. When a check or test is stated, it applies only to that item and only to what is stated.
Contact us before ordering when a particular condition, date code, lot, packaging form, traceability document, or testing requirement matters for your purchase.
What "in stock" means
When a product is shown as in stock, it is inventory Sofitrek holds for sale, not a listing copied from another seller. The product page and checkout show the quantity and price currently available.
Stock records can still be wrong, and a part can become unavailable because of damage, a miscount, two buyers ordering the same units, or a compliance review. That is why a payment confirmation is not yet final acceptance of the order. If we cannot accept an order, we will tell you and release or refund the affected amount as described in the Shipping Policy and Refund Policy.
Quotes for parts we do not stock
If a part is not available to buy on the site, you can send a Request for Quote. An RFQ is a request for information, not an order or a promise that we can supply the part. We may check stock held by our business contacts and other sources, then send a written quote stating the quantity, condition, where the stock is held, lead time, price, available documents, any test performed and what it covered, and the other terms that apply.
We do not present partner or third-party stock as Sofitrek's own ready-to-ship inventory. An RFQ becomes binding only after we issue a quote and both sides complete the acceptance steps in it.
How to read a listing
A few things to keep in mind when you read a product page:
- A condition label describes the commercial condition represented for the item. It is not, by itself, a test result or certification.
- Listing an item does not mean that Sofitrek qualified or vetted its source; inspected or tested the item; or verified authenticity, certification, provenance, traceability, storage history, or suitability for an application.
- Packaging, date code, lot code, country of origin, traceability, test status, and accessories are included only when stated.
- A catalog specification is a research aid and does not replace the manufacturer's current documentation or the buyer's engineering review.
- A photograph may show the actual inventory or a representative item. Check the product page to see which applies.
- If Sofitrek expressly states that an item-specific test was performed, only the exact test named, the identified units or sample, and the stated scope and result apply. No broader testing, safety, authenticity, certification, or traceability conclusion should be inferred.
More detail is available in Sourcing and Product Condition, Product Information and Documentation, and Product Assurance.
Independent distributor status
Sofitrek is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an authorized distributor or service center for a manufacturer unless a particular page or written agreement expressly says otherwise. Manufacturer warranties, support, software, firmware, licenses, certifications, and channel benefits may not transfer with independently distributed inventory.
Product and manufacturer names are used for identification. All trademarks remain the property of their respective owners.
Testing and high-reliability needs
Sofitrek does not operate a universal incoming-inspection, electrical-testing, laboratory-testing, supplier-qualification, traceability-verification, authenticity-verification, or counterfeit-detection program. Buyers with aerospace, defense, medical, life-safety, automotive, nuclear, or other high-reliability requirements should contact us before ordering so any required documentation or independent testing can be addressed in writing.
